Review Assignment
Complete guide to assigning employees for review and configuring the reviewer hierarchy.
Overview
Step 4 of the campaign wizard allows you to define who will be reviewed and who will conduct the reviews. Employees can be added individually or in bulk through groups and talent pools.

Individual Users
Add specific employees one by one:

Reviewer Hierarchy
Hierarchy Levels
Define who reviews each employee based on organizational hierarchy:

| N | Direct Manager | Most common, immediate supervisor |
| N+1 | Manager's Manager | Skip-level reviews |
| N+2 | Two levels up | Senior leadership perspective |

Duplicate Handling
When an employee appears in multiple assignment sources:
Scenario:
- Alice is added individually
- Alice is also in "Engineering Department" group
- Alice is also in "HiPo Program" talent pool
Resolution:
- Alice appears once in the campaign
- Source tracking shows all assignment origins
- Removing one source doesn't remove if other sources exist

Reviewer Assignment Logic
Automatic Assignment
Based on hierarchy level, the system automatically assigns reviewers:
For each reviewee:
1. Look up organizational hierarchy
2. Find manager at selected level (N, N+1, N+2)
3. Assign as reviewer
4. Flag if no manager found at that level

Best Practices
Do's ✓
- Use groups for scale: Easier to manage than individual assignments
- Start with direct managers: N level is most familiar with employee
- Review unassigned: Address manual assignments before launch
- Document exceptions: Note why certain reviewers were manually assigned
- Consider workload: Don't overburden individual reviewers
Don'ts ✗
- Don't skip validation: Ensure all reviewees have reviewers
- Don't use wrong hierarchy: N+2 for routine reviews is overkill
- Don't forget new hires: They may not have manager data yet
- Don't ignore duplicates: Understand where overlap comes from
